Ethics & Responsibility - Energy Strategy Study

 

As an academic journal published by the Center for Energy and Economics Studies, Energy Strategy Study is committed to upholding ethical standards and responsibilities for all stakeholders, including editors, reviewers, authors, and the publishing team. We adhere to the principles of transparency and best practices in scholarly publishing as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

 

For Editors

• Uphold the highest standards of editorial integrity, ensuring fair and unbiased assessment of all submitted manuscripts.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of the peer review process, maintaining anonymity between reviewers and authors when conducting double-blind reviews.
• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise from the evaluation of a manuscript and refrain from handling submissions with such conflicts.
• Foster an inclusive and diverse editorial board, promoting a wide range of perspectives and expertise.
• Ensure timely and constructive communication with authors, reviewers, and the publishing team throughout the publication process.
• Make decisions based solely on the scientific merit of the manuscript, avoiding any form of favoritism, discrimination, or personal bias.
• Actively assess and address any concerns raised by reviewers or readers regarding ethical issues or potential misconduct related to submitted manuscripts.
• Adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other relevant professional organizations to maintain the highest ethical standards in the publication process.

 

 

For Reviewers

• Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the review process, refraining from disclosing any part of the manuscript or its content to others without prior permission from the journal.
• Avoid direct communication with the authors without the journal's explicit consent, ensuring all communication is channeled through the editorial office.
• Promptly disclose any real or potential conflicts of interest that may impact the impartiality of their review and decline review invitations if necessary.
• Conduct reviews fairly and objectively, providing constructive feedback and evaluations based solely on the merits of the research.
• Recognize that reviewers may have their own academic affiliations and perspectives, but must strive to approach the review process with impartiality.
• In cases of uncertainty regarding potential conflicts of interest, reviewers should communicate openly with the journal editor for guidance and transparency.

 

For Authors

• Ensure the originality and authenticity of their submitted work, citing all sources accurately and providing proper attribution.
• Disclose all potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that may influence the research or interpretation of results.
• Obtain appropriate permissions and approvals for the use of copyrighted material, including images, figures, or data from other sources.
• Avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously and refrain from engaging in redundant or duplicate publication.
• Comply with ethical guidelines for human and animal research, ensuring informed consent, and following relevant protocols.
• Respect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals involved in the research, refraining from including identifying information without explicit consent.
• Acknowledge the contributions of all individuals who significantly influenced the study or writing process but do not meet the criteria for authorship.
• Cooperate fully with the peer review process, responding to reviewer comments and making necessary revisions promptly and professionally.
